You'll find a good deal of information about Australia from The Australian Tourist Commission which is the federal government's tourist promotion organisation. That site is, of course, designed to bring tourists.
The Australian Broadcasting Corporation is Australia's national broadcaster,
operating a number of national radio and TV networks, as well as local
stations. The online presence
offers access to all major areas of the Corporation. The ones of
particular interest to me are
- RN
- (formerly Radio National) the network for those who like to be informed and challenged.
- NewsRadio
- which carries Federal Parliament when sitting, but otherwise has rolling news. Digital radio and TV (channel 204) and streaming do not have Parliamentary broadcasts.
- Classic
- (formerly Classic FM ) for delightful music and little talk, available on DAB+ digital radio, FM radio, digital TV (channel 27) or streaming.
- ABC Jazz
- which is available on DAB+ digital radio, digital TV (channel 201) or streaming.
