More Roof, More Sparks

It has not been my practice to visit the site every day. But after my visit yesterday, Chris told me that the mixer taps needed to be delivered by mid morning on Tuesday. OK, another visit is in order. At least I'll get rid of them from the back of my car!

The roof is growing - now onto the eastern wing. While not visible here, the Colourbond is also being installed on the far side.

The above two photos show both ends of the eastern wing, in some detail. The steel sheets are screwed to the battens - the heads are just visible in the left image. That photo also shows the insulation underneath the steel, and the inset in the bottom of the image is a view of one of the screws - not a very detailed view, but it's all I have.

The combination reflective barrier/insulation placed under the Colourbond roofing material. Note that is not the only insulation in the roof - there will also be regular insulation above the ceiling, and that is the major insulator for the inside of the house; this material is to provide some control of the under roof temeperatures, thus helping the other insulation.

Craig the electrician was on site today with a colleague - Steve, seen here feeding wires into the en-suite, and doing his best professional at work pose for the camera.
