Over the last couple of days, the doors for the house had been
selected, and the arrangement of the front door too. Although
the design showed a double door, my preference was for a single
door with sidelights. That decision was necessary so the door
frame could be built and inserted into the frame. Then the brickies
can finish off the walls around the front door. As is happening
in this photo, which shows the sub-frame for the doors, and Dean
laying bricks just outside.
A view of the kitchen area, from the north east, showing the
brickwork around here. There are a few more windows needing
delivery before all of this can be finished, as there is a brick
wall above the door just to the left of the left most pillar,
and this cannot be built until the window is in position.
And introducing a new feature -
bluegum.com'sbrick layer of the month.
And the winner is ... Dean. Well done Dean. A valuable prize
pack is
not
on its way!
