Monday was a hot and windy day - the warmth was nice, but I'm not especially fond of wind. I stayed away from the construction site due to airport shuttle duties and PC repairs. But Tuesday was free for action.
The eastern and southern wings as seen from the north east corner
of the porch. Note the change in weather - overcast and wet,
although by this time the rain was clearing, and by the time I
returned home, the sun was shining. But there were sufficiently
intermittent showers during the morning that I was not surprised
to find silence on site.
The inside northern wall of the garage is now much more complete,
and indeed the support for the bricks above the garage door
is visible on the top left of this photo.
The view looking from the south east corner of the garage looking
west towards the kitchen. The support for the brick wall along
the top of the garage door is quite visible.
The windows in the hall on the eastern side of the house show
the steel support beam atop the window frames. I expect the
bricks here will be completed to the top any day now.
