Since my last visit, the bladder area has been pumped dry
(and there had been no rain!), and Garry had built the retaining
wall for the bladder, as seen here about mid image.
This is as seen from the north western corner of the family room.

Note that there are holes in the lower level of bricks (below
the gravel fill) to allow the ground water to pass out to the
sump on the other side, from where it will be pumped out.
This is part of the rock removed to create the sump on the
outside of the bladder. It's
vaguely
the shape of Australia, if you don't mind that much of Victoria
and all of Tasmania is missing, and some of Western Australia
and Cape York!
