Drainage

The "swimming pool" has been enhanced with a feed line into the bladder.

The feed line (above) runs to the western end of the porch, as shown here. There will also be a pipe feeding down the pillar at the westend end of the porch.

The drain line for the western side of the family/dining room. It doesn't actually drain into anything just yet, though.

This was more in the nature of an experiment - to see if it would be possible to finish the roof structure without having built the pillars to support it. But wisdom prevailed, and it was thought that temporary supports may not be reliable, and failure would be rather serious.

The western courtyard will have a vergola - this is a powered set of roof louvres, which can be opened and closed as required. Opened during winter to let the sun in, and closed in summer to keep it out. And maybe opened during summer evenings to let the heat escape.
