My hosts for the last 2+ weeks - Bill & Judy. As a "thank you"
for putting up with me, I took them to dinner at the Calcutta Grill
located at the Newcastle Golf Club. Apart from fine food, this
establishment has a superb view of the Seattle area. And another
attraction, to be shown later.
And also this view of downtown Bellevue. It has grown substantially
since I left - a number of high rise buildings have gone up.
As it was not a place to go other than some of the shops, I
managed to avoid it this visit.
The sun is setting, and so the sky is changing colour at the end
of the day, as evidenced here against the Seattle skyline.
This is the other attraction. At sunset, a piper comes out to
farewell the day. He appears on this hill in front of the club house,
and later walks up to play on a terrace along the front of the dining
area.
The Seattle skyline is being highlighted by the changing colour of
the sky. The patch of water on the left is Elliot Bay. The flying
bird in the middle was chance - I didn't see until I looked at
the result.
And so concluded an excellent meal, with a glorious sunset and a piper to end the day. Time for home and bed, to prepare for tomorrow's departure.
