"They all rushed like pigs, but I got there first!". I shepherded Jake off the ferry at Milsons Point Wharf, while Peter, centre with white cap, carried Flynn off - mostly because of the crowd, as there was some shoving and pushing, and Flynn is small enough to slip through the rail into the water! That would not have been a good thing.
As sorting out which tickets to buy, I went off to purchase them while Peter looked after the boys.
First ride was the carousel, the sign for which states
Carousel in motion, and I've been spotted!
An overall view of the carousel.
The end of the ride, and now time to leave.
The boys wanted to play the "laughing clowns" - a very elementary game, but one where they can win a prize! Here Jake is trying to time putting the ball in to get a high score.
The clown's mouth was a bit high for Flynn, so Peter held him up. Flynn's technique needs a bit of work, though.
We lined up for the dodgem cars. Peter took Flynn, while Jake came with me.
There was a bit of a tangle, so the ride stopped while the operators sorted it out. Here Peter and Flynn are stuck in the jam. After this Jake and I had a turn. Jake drove, I operated the accelerator. Jake drove really well, and had we gone for another ride, I would have let him operate the accelerator too.
There are some "traditional" rides in the Coney Island pavillion. One of them is this slippery dip. Peter and Jake are at the top of the slide, about to come down, as shown here.
I would have taken more photos, but Flynn had a toilet emergency just as Peter and Jake were about to come down, and that rather distracted me.
