An unusual vehicle, this one seems to be a precursor to the skateboard. It seems one driver powers the larger wheels using hands, but it's not clear (even at full resolution) what the other driver does.
Another interesting vehicle. It looks like a pair of bicycles, and almost looks to be made of metal, with perhaps chain drive.
This vehicle is nearing the chicane. The structure at the middle bottom of the image is the stage used by the organiser.
These two contestants race has been run - one of the large wheels on it has come off.
Another billy cart style vehicle approaching the finish line. Note the helmets - the only safety conscious entry! The front driver appears to be for steering only.
This vehicle seems to have been inspired by the tandem bicycle, though of wood and consequently structurally rather different.
The rural group (or perhaps Textile Technology) staged a sheep shearing demonstration. At least 2 of the sheep have already been shawn.
Next sheep please! The shearer gets to work on another sheep, with the crowd watching.
Progress, as much of the fleece is now off the sheep. That's the Roundhouse in the background.
The Applied Science Building was also used for a demonstration of abseiling, as this photo shows.
I think this was the Vice Chancellors Courtyard. A quiet musical interlude.
