Back To Bergen

We, the group, had a delightful meal before returning to the hotel to collect our luggage and await the minibus driver to take us to the airport. The plane left Molde at 19:45 (7:45 PM for some), which allowed us plenty of time to enjoy dinner and reach the hotel.

Another of Annette's photos. That "OK, let's get the show on the road NOW" look. This is in the lobby of the Rainbow Motel, Molde, waiting for the bus to take us to the airport.

KPLU Viking Jazz: Departing Molde, with clever flag design at front of plane

Another plane waiting at Molde airport. I suspect this is the plane used to carry Stevie Wonder and his entourage for tonight's concert at the museum. However, the main reason I took this photo is for the logo at the front. A clever use of squares arranged in a 3 x 3 grid to create the Norwegian, Swedish and Danish flags.

Our plane was again a Fokker F50, and since I was sitting in the last row, you can see it's not very big! So we didn't take long to load up.

Somewhere close to Molde, but I don't know where.

Approaching Bergen

Bergen is surrounded by bays, inlets and islands. And the plane seemed to fly over many of them!

Obviously a populated island. There were many bridges around Bergen, so I expect this island was joined to the mainland by one, if indeed it was an island.

The land in the foreground is very barren, but you can see signs of habitation towards the left side.

Ah, sunshine, even if it's not all that much. Perhaps tomorrow will be a nice day - we could certainly do with one!
