Joey and I parted ways, so I headed back to town to catch the jazz band march through the streets to the Town Hall.
The band forming up just before the closed off streets.
Let the march begin!
And by the time they passed by, they were even playing!
The view from Town Hall roof. The crowd along the main street is anticipating the arrival of the band.
The band makes its appearance, marching right to left. The roses are on the Town Hall roof. The march leader is behind the tree about mid right of the picture.
The march continues down the main street then (apparently) turns around and marches up the street to the left of the Town Hall (relative to the above photo) and then it enters from the left to approach the stage set up in the Town Hall Square. Here the leader (and his assistant, both with umbrellas) are about to come down the steps.
The band now in front of the Town Hall and playing for their life.
The parade leader and his assistant and some fancy footwork, despite the rain.
Trumpets to the left, including the red and blue one.
All the other instruments to the right.
Looking across the fjord from Town Hall roof. Not a very enticing day to go sailing.
