Going To Copenhagen

KPLU Viking Jazz: SAS Airbus A340 at Seatac before departure for Copenhagen

Our plane, an Airbus A340 belonging to SAS (Scandinavian Airline Systems), awaiting us at Seatac. The flight is non-stop to Copenhagen, taking about 9 hours or so.

What a happy looking bunch we are! Where's all that "pre-departure" excitement. After all, we've all made it through security by now :-)

KPLU Viking Jazz: Sunset over northern Canada on way to Copenhagen

The flight left Seattle at 7PM and flies NE over Canada and Hudson Bay, Greenland, north of Scotland thence over Bergen (Norway) and into Copenhagen. As we flew north, the sunset became later, but flying east makes it earlier. This photo was taken about 9:15PM Seattle time, and is somewhere over (probably) Saskatchewan, Canada.

About the same location as the photo above, but this one just shows the lakes over which we were flying. I didn't realise how many big lakes there are in this part of Canada.
