Having seen all the important views from the park, we assemble on Porte Prescott, the bridge over Cote de la Montagne before descending into the lower section of Old Town.
Our group walking down hill, as seen through the old City Walls. The bridge in the above photo is directly above the gateway shown here.
A tee shirt in one of the shops along Cote de la Montagne.
Part way down the street is "Escalier Casse-Cou", otherwise known as "Break-Neck stairs". So, in true KPLU pioneering spirit, that's the way we went!
Looking down the stairs. We didn't see anybody break their neck - fortunately! The street at the bottom is rue du Petit Champlain.
Looking up the stairs.
Looking along "rue du Petit Champlain" which is said to be the narrowest, and one of the oldest, streets in North America. It's full of tourist style shops.
Part of the way along is a small park, and on this Sunday morning, "free entertainment", in the form of the keyboard player. I don't know if this is organised, or just regular busking.
This is a fine example of a building with a mural on the side. It's at the western end of the street.
And next to this building, is a religious garden. Access to this was not entirely clear, so I don't know if it's a private garden.
Time to head back along "rue du Petit Champlain" and look for refreshments!
