Shrine of St. Therese

There are only 2 major tourist "attractions" around Juneau. And our tour took us to both of them. First up was the Shrine of St. Therese which is located on an "island" a little north of Juneau. The island is linked to shore by a (man made) causeway. It was perhaps appropriate that we jouneyed there on Easter Sunday.

And as luck would have it, just as our taxi pulled into the parking lot, so did a rental car with some more boat people!

Being Easter Sunday makes this cross quite appropriate for the day. I wondered if there is a Good Friday celebration here.

And the Stations of the Cross are here too. This is the fourth station.

Then from here, we headed back towards Juneau, but turned east before very long.
