Peter and Flynn at the stern of the "Lady Douglas". Flynn
is fascinated by flags, so this was a big attraction.
Then as we reached a straight and quiet part of the waterway,
the captain asked the younger "crew" members whether they
wanted to steer the boat. Tynan jumped in without hesitation.
Note the captain behind keeping a close eye on what's happening.
Jake was much more hesitant, but when Cameron assured him,
and stayed behind him, Jake was quite happy to have a go.
He even had to turn the wheel!
After the hectic activity, it was time to rest down the stern.
Michelle (with Flynn), Natalie, Louise, Cecelie and Glenn.
Continuing downstream past the Marina Mirage, we pass the "On
The Inlet" restaurant. This was the location for the wedding
reception - in the area underneath the two arches.
St. Mary's by the sea, as seen from the "Lady Douglas".
It's just in the middle of the trees.
As we reached the channel markers for the inlet, the boat
turns around and heads back to Marina Mirage. This shot
is looking north, and the mountains there receive a great
deal of rain; during many of our days they were covered in
cloud, generally not as thick as this.
