GOOD Water Feature

There are good and bad water features, so start with the good.

The shower door is being installed, in several pieces. First is to install the edge pieces, and the shelves (glued to the glass and tiles! The door (and the one for the bathroom too) are leaning against the back wall.

The vanity basins are now installed and just awaiting Dave to come along and install the taps and connecting plumbing.

And speaking of Dave... he was installing the wall basin in the toilet.

And the vanity, with plumbing, is now installed in the bathroom.

BAD Water Feature

See the slightly darker part of the ceiling in the laundry? It's runs to the rigth of the lower point of the access hole to the roof.

And this is in the lounge room, which is on the other side of the wall from the laundry shown in the above photo. So, what happened?

Well, there were two leaks associated with installation of the solar water heater. The first was where the return (hot) pipe from the solar collector pases through the roof. This was noted by Chris after some heavy rain.

But fixing that did not stop the wet ceiling, or the water dripping from it. It turned out that one of the compression joints above the ceiling was leaking. And not just dripping, but running out! Fortunately Dave the plumber was on site, and replaced the compression joint with a solder joint. That fixes that problem, but there are 2 others up there too.
