This view from the porch shows the progress. When I first arrived, there was little activity while waiting for another concrete truck to arrive; by the time other items were taken care of, the truck arrived, and so there was cement to move, level and put the first rough finish on.
The already finished part. Well, rough finished, anyway. The concrete was too soft to consider finishing at this stage.
Meanwhile, Garry and Chris were working on the big room. (Ryan was putting skirting etc. into bedroom 2). Here Chris is finishing the architrave around the window, while Garry was about to adopt the position of the next image.
Garry sanding the big beam. Although covered up before the roof went on, it still has some surface dirt on it, which is now being sanded off to allow it to be stained for the delight of residents and guests for many years to come.
The southern end of the big room. The architraves are now in position around all the windows and doors, making it look quite finished. And outside is Richard Houston, the third painter.
Even though it's only the sealer/primer, the ceiling of the porch looks so nice now. No joins in the material, and a uniform colour.
Meanwhile, Bob has been busy tiling away, and here there is tile all the way from the master bedroom to bedroom 4, though that's not very obvious.
The computer room floor is almost complete (it was before I left), and the workshop floor is coming along nicely.
The hall on the eastern side is now complete - except for the grouting, anyway. This is the view from the garage, looking south.
Meanwhile, the rest of the concrete had arrived, except for the last few wheel barrows full. The rough finish is almost done, just waiting for the last little bit of material to finish off. The black hole on the right is a drain out to the street.
