After some other errands, I pulled up at the site just behind the truck delivering some of the windows! What excellent timing. These are the first few of the windows to arrive.
A closer view, showing the wooden frame around the windows. I was not expecting this, but it is apparently standard practice for windows being used in brick veneer construction. The frame is on the inside of the windows, so I expect this will be the window frame on the inside. The translucent windows on the left are for privacy areas, such as toilets.
Another window being carried in, and also activity of brick layers at work. The latter were having some problem with their cement mixer.
Along with brick walls comes insulation. This is the eastern wall, the closest part being the computer room. The two windows are for the garage, which is a double brick wall. Thus, there is no window frame supplied.
And in preparation for installation of the rain water bladder tomorrow, the steel support beams for the Bondek have been placed in position above the bladder. Robin (from Tanked Australia) wanted these positioned before bladder installation, to avoid the possibility of the beams being dropped onto, and damaging, the bladder.
