Sunday Departure

The plan was to attend Mass in Kangaroo Valley, and head off from there. My plan was to head to Canberra to visit friends, see an exhibition and locate some photos that Dad took in 1963.

Two little boys walking across frost covered grass, trees in sun behind them Jake and Jye on morning patrol across the dew covered lawn. The purpose: to flush out any enemies who may have arrived over night!

Fog behind trees at far end of lawn The fog was not as intense as yesterday's, but was still in the valley. Our elevation kept us free of the fog, though obviously not the dew.

Under trellis, looking towards fast evaporating fog behind trees Forty minutes after the above photo, the fog is beginning to lift. By the time we departed, it had cleared completely.

Getting Away

Well, plans are great, but this one changed quickly. Kelly's car had a flat battery! This place seems to be a battery killer! Another 90 minute wait ensued. However, there's only one Mass, so we headed off to that. Being Palm Sunday, Mass starts outside with readings, then the congregation enters the church in a procession. It also has the long gospel.

After Mass, I headed off to Canberra. There wasn't much I could do to help, having no jumper cables, and a small battery to boot. But by the end of the day, we all reached our destination in one piece.
