Several periods of heavy rain in early 2012 resulted in Sydney's water supply dams filling, and indeed overflowing. Warragamba had not done this for 14 years! So it was a good excuse to visit the dams and record the event.

Family pizza night at Glenn and Kelly's place. No specific reason, just a time to see the family again. The video is mostly an energetic display by Flynn, Cooper and Lily dressed in super-hero costumes.

As with last year, we headed to Kangaroo Valley to celebrate Peter's birthday. Camp David (last year) is no longer available, however "Ellywan" is probably even nicer, and was very much enjoyed. Only 2 nights this year, but every bit as enjoyable.

Keiran and Marina were house-sitting at Glenn and Kelly's, so the family, including Bev and Di, gathered for Easter Sunday, and went for a walk through Botany Bay National Park. And a bit of historical footage at the end, related to the early conversation.

Sydney's annual winter event, "Vivid", came to town. It's major outdoor attraction is illuminating buildings with animated scenes. Buildings included the Sydney Opera House, Museum of Contemporary Art (old and new sections) and, most dynamically, Customs House at Circular Quay.

Jake and Lily had a combined family birthday party, as their birthday's are on successive days. So this is the official family party. Note the colour rendition is poor in some of the scenes - the camera operator discovered something new about how the camera operates when recording video!

There was a partial solar eclipse in Sydney on November 14, 2012. Alas, it was overcast, so all this time lapse video shows is clouds. The eclipse started just after 7AM (daylight savings time), reached its maximum 67% coverage just after 8AM, and was over by 9AM.

Peter, Yvonne and I took Tynan and Jake to "Kartatak" at Wolli Creek - it's an indoor go kart track. The boys had 2 rides each, piloting a go kart for the first time. Afterwards we headed into Chinatown for a meal, and a quick look at the Christmas decorations.
