On September 13, Bill & Judy arranged a reunion of the Woodinville Group, in honour of my presence, and well, it had been too long since the last meeting. I think the latter might have been the real reason, and my presence merely the trigger for action.
Bill McKinley performed his usual miracles of turning raw food into an eating pleasure - in this instance, chicken. And using the chicken leg cooker apparatus. Bill was quite adept at extoling the virtues of this device, and probably could have sold some to the guests!
The assembled eminent persons, from left: Randy (holding chicken leg cooker), Bill, Judy, Sandy, Patti and Rick assembled on Bill & Judy's deck. Randy seems to be contemplating the chicken leg cooker, and I'd guess Rick was also contributing his thoughts.
Randy holding the chicken leg cooker. A simple wire structure which holds the legs (or wings, so it says) vertical on the grill. I presume this helps cook the chicken more quickly than leaving them flat on the grill, and avoids some parts being burnt.
A very pleasant afternoon and early evening followed, with much catching up of events over the last four years since I had seen the guests. But all too soon it was time to say goodbye, as this was a Sunday, so the next morning it was rise and shine to pay the bills.
