The line waiting to enter studio 22, described as the largest digital studio in Australia. The studio contained sets for three programs, At The Movies, The Chaser and New Inventors. Although the line was rather long, it moved in bursts as a new group was allowed into the studio as the former group moved on to the news studio 21. The poster above the doorway is for "The Chaser". As I watch little TV, I can't claim to have watched a complete episode of any of these programs (but do remember the original Inventors!) and so don't know much about them.
Almost to the front of the line, and looking into the studio. There are parts of 2 sets visible, divided roughly in the centre. The curved wall on the left is the back of the set for "At The Movies", and the remainder is for "The Chaser". The New Inventors set is to the right, not visible in this view.
Some high tech equipment at the back of "At The Movies". I noticed several of these clamps on that set. Not being able to see behind the other sets, I just have to presume that they have much the same out of view. These sets are broken down and taken to Gore Hill for storage when not in use.
Still waiting to enter, so we have to be satisfied with this view of part of the set for "The Chaser".
The set for "The New Inventors". Note that the background is actually white but coloured lights make it appear that colour. Note the lights on the right, closest to the wall, are the colour of the wall.
From in front of "The New Inventors" set, looking east, with the set for "At The Movies" on the left, and "The Chaser" on the right. And all those ceiling fixtures.
The set for "At The Movies". This is the front (viewer side) of the G clamps at the top of this page. I didn't recognise the cityscape in the "windows". It's not Sydney; one of the ABC staff thought it might be Brisbane.
All three sets - from left to right, "The Chaser", "New Inventors" and "At The Movies". This was on the way out to the news studio.
