Saturday, July 15th, dawned to the tune of rain. As most of Australia is suffering from drought, the rain was very welcome, especially as it was also falling in the inland areas. Of course, for us it was a nuisance, but knowing that it was good overall made it easier to handle.
The Baptism was scheduled for 11AM at Milton, about 20 minutes drive south of Bendalong. So the convoy started off, although I think we mostly left at different times. I travelled with Peter and Yvonne and Flynn. We arrived with plenty of time to spare, and awaited the others. Glenn's family was also coming from further down the coast, and they also arrived with plenty of time to spare.
Peter carrying Flynn into St. Mary's, Milton. It's wet!
Looking off to the left of the church in the above photo. There's a cloud bank behind the building and trees - it's about level with the upper section of the roof on the building. It was wet, and indeed we drove through cloud on the way to Milton.
Inside the church, with Father Francis standing down the front.
Most of the congregation was now here, except for a certain urgent shopping expedition.
The youngsters of the group, in chronological order from the left: Tynan, Jake, Flynn and Cooper; the latter being held in place by Glenn, with Cameron and Michelle behind supervising their pair.
