Flynn had just learned the basics of kicking a ball - still a bit more miss than hit, but he did seem to understand the basics. I expect from watching Jake very carefully!
Step 1 - approach the ball.
Kick.
Follow through - keep your eye on the ball. And follow where the ball goes! Usually a good strategy, although a bit lacking here.
I've seen World Cup players do this, but I have no idea where Flynn learned the trick. I'm sure they do not have any football DVDs, and it's not Jake's style!
The female side of our family - Kelly, Michelle and Yvonne with Cooper.
Michelle relaxing in the sunshine. The weather was quite overcast earlier in the morning, and it looked like rain, but by the time we arrived in Thirroul the clouds were long gone, and thus there was no chance of drought breaking rains this day.
Kelly was also enjoying the sunshine, and being with family, and showing off Cooper, who was 3 months old at this stage.
Flynn and his cousin Giles. Flynn managed to cut himself, or suffer some other life threatening injury, so his cousin bought him back safely to Michelle.
Ah, Flynn sees his mum, so he can run now to pass on his tale of woe.
And as Flynn runs towards us, Giles returns to playing with the other older children.
