Bundeena

Heading north from Stanwell Park the road soons enters Royal National Park which is the world's second oldest national park, only behind Yellowstone in the USA. The road north travels through heath land and light forest.

Shady Royal National Park, with rental car

Looking north not too far from the southern end of the park.

Shady Royal National Park, with rental car

Looking south from the same location as above. The car is the rental I had - a Holden Vectra (probably an Opel derivative).

Bundeena

Before leaving the park is a turn off to Bundeena, which is on the south bank of Port Hacking. I can't remember the last time I was here.

Looking out Port Hacking Heads, and Kurnell

Looking out to sea from the ferry wharf.

From Bundeena, looking towards Bass and Flinders Point (Cronulla)

Looking across to Bass and Flinders Point at Cronulla. Kelly and I walked around the far shoreline a few days earlier.

Looking over Bundeena ferry wharf

The lowering sun helps provide a "sparkle" to the wharf. This is the Bundeena end of the ferry from Cronulla.

Bundeena's beach

A nice sheltered beach.
