Woronora Dam

I can remember as a youngster that Dad would sometimes take us to Woronora Dam, located south of Sydney, and at the time an important part of Sydney's water supply.

So, it seemed a good place to visit again. It's been at least 40 years since I was last there, so I had little memory of what to expect.

And since I was heading south, it seemed reasonable to also visit the South Coast.

These pontoons are used by the Royal Australian Navy for torpedo testing. One hopes that none of the torpedoes reach the wall!

The water level is fairly high, considering the several years of below average rainfall.
