I spent December 28th with a good friend of mine, and of the things we did was to drive his younger daughter to work at the local supermarket.

A banksia (I think) in Peter's backyard.

A bird feeding on the insects in another banksia flower. The image is quite blurred; the camera had a problem focusing on the banksias, and by the time I checked the image, the bird had moved on.
