After leaving the Monterey-Salinas Highway, we took the road over the rim of the northern side of the Carmel Valley. This is looking towards Monterey, and shows the fog bank evident in the earlier photos.
A closer look at the valley we had just come through. It's quite dry, as evident from the brown landscape.
