After checking in, I had some time on my hands, and so went for the obligatory walk around Victoria's Inner Harbour. There's also a map of the Inner Harbour and notes on the area.
The hotel, with my suite shown by the red arrow. It was on the third floor, so the view was not spectacular, but still quiet pleasant. Even had a balcony, on the left side.
A pleasant weekend cruiser :-)
Victoria's water cab/tour boat. There are a number of these vessels, fliting back and forth around the harbour.
The apartment buildings on Songhees Road, in Victoria West.
Victoria is the capital of British Columbia, and this is the Provincial Parliament Building, as seen from the dock in front of The Empress Hotel. Perhaps the politicians knew something when choosing an island home for the capital city!
Looking from the Johnson Street Bridge across the Inner Harbour, Parliament and my hotel to the (just visible) Olympic Mountains in Washington state.
