Gorge Dam

Diablo Dam and Lake are the next in sequence. The water behind Gorge Dam almost reaches to the base of the Diablo Dam. It's possible to drive over the dam wall here, but the road was undergoing repairs, so I passed on it this time around.

Diablo Lake, and dam wall (top), Skagit River

The view from Thunder Point lookout, showing Davis Peak, Lake Diablo, and just visible, the top of Diablo Dam.

Barge moving a truck along Diablo Lake

A closer view of the lake and dam. Also shown is a barge carrying a truck upstream. This is (probably) headed to the Ross Dam, which is otherwise not readily accessible by road (I believe).

Part of Diablo Dam Lookout, and looking north

Looking north, showing part of the lookout area, and perhaps Jack Mountain and Crater Mountain.

Parking area and nearby mountains at Diable Lake Lookout

The parking lot, looking towards Pyramid Peak and a number of other peaks in the same location. Mine is the bike on the left; the one on the right belongs to a Kiwi living in British Columbia.

Close up of mountain peak seen from Diablo Lake Lookout

A close up of what is most like Pyramid Peak, based on its shape.
