Leavenworth

Leavenworth

Leavenworth is a town located on the eastern edge of the foothills of the Cascade Range. It was originally a logging and railroad town, but both of those industries closed up and the town decided to become a Bavarian style village, and thus attract tourists. It has been remarkably successful at that!

Leavenworth in snow

Not especially obvious in this photo, but the tree was glistening from the water left over from melting snow.
