Tumwater Canyon

Tumwater Canyon

This is the section of road immediately before the town of Leavenworth. This road has a number of locations to allow pulling off to enjoy the views of the canyon. However, the snow ploughs do not clear them very much, which is acceptable, since not many cars were stopping to enjoy the view!

This area was in the shade of the mountains, and so cooler, and thus the snow is still clinging to the trees. There was no wind, so the snow fell off the trees because it was warming up.
