Rosario Head

More riding was needed, and so I headed to Rosario Head for lunch before heading inland to the Baker Lake Road, near Concrete in the Skagit Valley. I have passed that road a number of times, but never been up there.

Rosario Head

Rosario Head is located on Fidalgo Island, which is not obviously an island, being separated from the 'mainland' by a river channel. Rosario Head is located on the southern end of the island, just west of Deception Pass. There is a pleasant picnic area and what the locals call a beach.

This is the other side of the headland, looking east towards Deception Pass, which is not visible from this area. There is another park in the distant bay (Bowman Bay), visible here to the right.
