Walking Day 2

Harvard's Fogg Art Museum

Harvard University has three art museums located on campus. I was quite lucky - the day I arrived was free admission day! And they allow photographing in some areas. I wasn't quite at my best photographer mode, and forgot to adjust the camera for close up work.

Fogg Art Museum (Harvard); Rubens

Peter Paul Ruben's Saint Peter oil on wood.

Fogg Art Museum (Harvard); John Singer Sergeant,

I photographed the information plaque describing this image, but alas it is quite blurred, and so I am guessing about the details here. But it appears to be by John Singer Sargent, and it's an oil on canvas. Beyond that, it's just mumble, mumble, mumble.

The Fogg Museum's building consists of galleries around an Italian Renaissance courtyard, modelled after a 16th century facade in Montepulciano, Italy.
