The Capitol Building

Designed in Classical Roman style, the Legislative Building is one of the tallest masonary domed buildings in the world. It is reminiscent of St. Peter's Basilica in Rome and often compared with our Capitol in Washington D.C..

This building is normally open for public tours, but has been closed temporarily for repairs of the damage caused by the recent earthquake. Some of the columns have cracked, and others have moved.
