Snoqualmie Pass is a bit over 3,000 feet (about 1000m), so it's not uncommon to see clouds near the ground.
When the lake is full, the place where I was standing to take this photo is a tiny island. Now it's a mole hill!
Looking back "to the mainland". The parking lot in the foreground, and the lake bed below the yellow trees is under water when the lake is full.
The tree line here is the edge of the lake when full.
Somebody had spare time while visiting "the island". It will be curious to see how long they survive. They are located at approximate the full water line. However, I suspect that the winter winds are more likely to blow them over more than anything else.
At the trail head. This is from the parking area for those wanting to travel along the old railway line trail, which is just behind the location of the photograph.
