at Thirlmere, with train rides every Sunday and for special events.

Lachlan Valley Railway
operates many train tours, around Sydney and in rural areas, including
the popular Kiama Picnic Train from Sydney. Their operation is based
in Cowra. Trains run aplenty, with booking available on the web site.

stream lined locomotive 3801, which is currently out of service

Heritage Transport Expo, 2016
Queen's Birthday weekend is time for the Heritage Transport Expo at Sydney's Central Station, including the first appearance of a Red Rattler, with over 80 year old carriages. And the Great Train Race.
Five days by train around New South Wales
The 2017 ANZAC Rail Cruise was to northern and western New South Wales, aboard a heritage train. While the principal event was the ANZAC Day march in Gilgandra, the train stopped in several locations providing a chance to see and experience a bit more than just what was outside the window.
