A period in my room resulted in recovering from the heat of walking around in the middle of a hot and muggy Montreal summer day. So off to see the (limited) choices available this afternoon at the Festival.
Our Hotel (The Delta, one of two in downtown Montreal!) was located on Avenue du President Kennedy. As I was walking down that street to the Place des Arts, I came across this bust.
Tonight's farewell dinner was to be at the Museum of Contemporary Art located at Place des Arts. So I wanted to check that I knew how to get into the restaurant; and thus came across this area with these interesting "statues", made up of sheets of metal.
The metal sheets are better seen in this item; the close up shows the clever construction. I thought they were interesting.
"Sweet Dixie" was one of the few acts scheduled for this last day of the Festival. Guess what style of music they play!
The music was infectious, and before long people started to dance in front of the stage.
And as the performance continued, more and more people came up to dance. And they all were having a good time. And a sweaty one too!
Part of the crowd watching "Sweet Dixie" around Place des Arts. I also checked out the Streetnix performance, but while I enjoyed the music, there were very long periods between songs. A bit more polish in terms of performing and they could be a good act.
Ah, the cat again. This time at the touching of Boule de Maisonneuve (left) and Avenue du President Kennedy/Rue Ontario (one turns into the other about here) on the right.
Twas now time to return to the hotel to clean up for tonight's activities.
