Upon return to Anchorage, we had some time to ourselves before heading down the street for dinner, at Simon and Seafort's fine restaurant, overlooking Cook Inlet. Then back to our hotel rooms, to relax and enjoy the end of day.
Looking to the east (or perhaps more the ESE).
A close up of part of the hills to the east. My guess is that the area on the hill just to the left of the tall building is some (probably expensive) residential area creeping into the country.
Sunset is approaching as the sun turns into a golden orange colour, which reflects off the hills.
The end of a glorious day. This is the eastern hills, and the time was nearing 10PM.
Our decision to head north was a good one, as we saw Mt. McKinley, something which is not commonly possible, it appears. As it turns out, it probably would have been just as good the following day, but we didn't care, as we had seen it!
