Wrangell Narrows to Petersburg

Wrangell Narrows is a very narrow body of water between the Lindendberg Peninsula of Kupreanof Island to the west, and Mitkof Island. Petersburg is at the northern tip of Mitkof Island. There are something like 97 channel markers along this passage of water.

Petersburg was established as a fishing town, and it still is.

While the above was passing on one side of the boat, this bald eagle was watching for fish on a channel marker on the other side. This looked like quite a young eagle.
