Magnetic termite mound. So named as the termites build their mound along a north-south axis to maintain a steady temperature by avoiding the full on sun on the mound.

A boat carrying Vietnamese refugees after the fall of Saigon. The boat is in the museum. It is not large, especially for the number of people on board without much cover.

There is a tour boat service on the Ord River, so we used it to take us to Kununurra for the night, before moving on. It was not a typical tourist boat. The skipper was terrific, and we sped along quite a bit. But the skipper knew where fresh water crocodiles are, and rock wallabies, so we stopped to watch them. Also pulled in for an afternoon tea break. Well worth enjoying.
Sunset on the Ord River nearing Kununurra, where we will spend the night.
