Peter & Yvonne's 50th wedding anniversary was celebrated by a family weekend at Nelson Bay. The event was a few weeks after the official date, due to organising a time for all to be present.

And it was hot, though not as bad as the wedding day itself. And, of course, we had air conditioning, a rare commodity in 1967.

The 2017 ANZAC Rail Cruise was to northern and western New South Wales, aboard a heritage train. While the principal event was the ANZAC Day march in Gilgandra, the train stopped in several locations providing a chance to see and experience a bit more than just what was outside the window.

Heritage Transport Expo is held in early June (Queen's Birthday Weekend) at Central Station in Sydney, with displays of trains, and rides on old trains around Sydney, including some using normally freight only routes.

One of the main attractions of StarFest is to visit the telescopes at Siding Spring Observatory and speak to the astronomers and staff who are there.

This year all the "open" telescopes were visited!

The 2017 Snowy Ride was held on Saturday, 4^th of November 2017 around the Snowy Mountains region of New South Wales.

The event is a fundraiser for the Steven Walter Childrens Cancer Foundation.

The SJR Christmas Luncheon starts with a cruise on Sydney Harbour, from Circular Quay to Roseville Marina on Middle Harbour. Whereupon we embark for the feast.

Christmas festivities this year were held at The Wallace household in Kurnell.

A fine feast and fun family made for a great day. And the weather was very pleasant, being in the mid 20s C, rather than the 40C of the day before.
