Easter Sunday Kurnell Walk

Keiran and Marina were house-sitting for Glenn and Kelly, so it was decided we would have an Easter Sunday lunch and afternoon walk through the national park.

Man, woman and dog on wharf with burnt patch in the middle Marina with Trapper, and Keiran, on the wharf/platform at Captain Cook's landing place in 1770. The dark patch in the middle is the result of some people who decided that setting fire to the structure would be a good idea. Such people are not qualified to live in society; a desert island is the place for them.

Cement path, green grass between trees, and near the water's edge Our party headed into the park. In the distance.

Lady with dog walking away on a track through bushland This is the Aboriginal soundscape walk, but unfortunately we heard nothing as we traversed the track.

Trees in front of stone obelisk, thence water and part of a long wharf Looking over the obelisk commemorating Captain James Cook's landing at this spot on April 28th 1770. The wharf behind is for the oil refinery, and Towra Point in the distance.

Large dog sprawled on the floor Trapper at home - in the laundry. No doubt feeling the heat and effects of his long walk through the National Park.

Easter Sunday Walk at Kurnell
Keiran and Marina were house-sitting at Glenn and Kelly's, so the family, including Bev and Di, gathered for Easter Sunday, and went for a walk through Botany Bay National Park. And a bit of historical footage at the end, related to the early conversation.
