The Gnome Knoll section of Floriade was a competition to decorate and/or create scenes using gnomes. There are various categories, being individual (ranked by age), best group and best corporate.

The sign at the back says "Homeless gnomes", which perhaps explains
their less than orderly arrangement. :-)
