Being first to arrive (and, honest, I did not speed!) I parked the bike in a place unlikely to cause issues, or be in the way. Then, well, the photo is obvious - one giant tree and a not-so-small motorcyle which looks small due to the size of the tree.
Kelly and a sly Lily on the driveway of Camp David. We - the surprisers - were all here, as Cooper, Tynan and Flynn are in the background. At this time, the what might loosely be called planning for the surprise arrival was going on.
The view to the south from the fence along the edge. The property is a dairy farm, and we could hear the cows bellowing more than mooing. Kangaroo Valley's initial use was dairying, and still quite a bit goes on.
The view of Camp David from the south east corner. Those with children slept in the building on the left; Peter and Yvonne had the master bedroom in the wing joining the two buildings, and Keiran and I had bedrooms upstairs at the far end of the building on the right.
A view from the driveway showing the pool and spa (left end of pool) and distant hills to the east of Kangaroo Valley.
The view of Camp David's buildings from the northern side. Keiran and I had the bedrooms in the building on the left (Keiran had room on left). The middle building was the young family wing, and Peter and Yvonne's room is behind the bushes.
The master bedroom, with a view over the front lawn, the adjacent dairy farm and the far hills. The suitcase on the left shows that Peter and Yvonne have arrived. But then they departed - "back" to Wollongong for a music revival show. Rather than returning to Camp David after the show and a meal with friends, they stayed the night in Wollongong.
Then it was time for dinner - Glenn and Kelly were in charge. Here they are working in the kitchen - chicken on the barbeque, at least for us meat eaters. And it was good.
