As ANZAC Day was on a Sunday this year, the official public holiday was on Monday. Kelly and I had agreed that she would come over to look at my new furniture and then we would head down to the Marina for a coffee and take Cooper and Lily to the Como Pleasure Grounds to let them run off their energy. This is basically a grassy area with attractions for children and adults.
I don't know what this is called, but it's quite clever, with a bunch of ropes, and places to sit, so the little ones can practice their climbing skills, and climb higher as they gain confidence. That's Cooper in the white tee shirt with green sleeves.
A wider angle shot showing how popular the climbing rope machine is. Cooper is up near the top in this image, which was a new height for him! There were many children playing this day, in fact far and away the busiest I have seen it.
Cooper concentrating as he works his way down. Even Lily, his almost 2 year old sister, with much energy and determination, had a go climbing, but not much above the bottom level. And Cooper was helping her along too.
After much expenditure of energy by the littlies, it was time for Kelly to take them home for an afternoon nap. Lily is a good sleeper, which is perhaps not too surprising given the energy she puts into life.
