Michelle picked me up at the airport upon return from the USA, and opening the front door, there was a patch of red dust from the dust storms of a couple of weeks ago.
It was a case of putting the suitcase down inside the front door and taking a picture before too much disturbance of the dust took place.
A closer view showing the red dust from the centre of Australia on the tile floor just inside the front door. There is a gap underneath the door, and random little bits blow in there when the wind conditions are just right.
The top-left to bottom-right gap between tiles is parallel to the front door; thus the dust accumulates in it. The other is at right angles, and so the dust will be blown it. This is the middle of the above image, but at camera resolution.
