The famed
Alice's Restaurant
on Skyline, which runs along the top of the ridge of mountains
to the west of San Francisco Bay. It's a great road for
motorcyclists, with many twists and turns. And it's easily
reached from Jeffrey's home!
We parked on the other side of the road, where there are a couple
of stores, including a convenience store.
Peggy and Jeffrey relaxing with a drink in front of the convenience store.
It was a pleasantly warm day, and refreshment was welcome.
Jeffrey and Peggy walking back to the bikes to ride home. Alice's
is across the road amongst the trees.
Jeffrey's bike collection - a CBR 1000, CBR 600 and R1150RT (the
latter being my former bike). We traded bikes on the way back -
I rode the CBR 1000, and Jeffrey rode the Beemer. The CBR was
a very enjoyable bike to ride, though not what I would consider
a good long distance ride (not its purpose), and a real threat
to a rider's license :-(
