Cliff Eating

An established tradition now is to attend a few plays each year at the Merrigong Theatre in Wollongong. The tradition includes leaving Sydney to have a meal near the theatre, and arrive in time for the 8PM start.

Restaurant with tables against large windows atop cliff This time we decided to have dinner at the top of Bulli Pass, at the Panorama House Restaurant. The arrangement was for Chris and Rob to collect me on the way through, and we would meet Yvonne and Peter at the restaurant.

Cliff top view of coastal area with bays and beaches And this view is the reason for choosing this restaurant. Especially as dusk would be upon us soon, and we could enjoy the darkening sky and the lights coming on below us. Restaurants with excellent views do not always have food to match. But I am happy to report that we found the food to be excellent, and well worth planning a return. The only down side is the need to eat a little earlier than in Wollongong, as there's still a 30 minute drive from here to the theatre.

The play we saw was Elling. Although the two main characters had mental issues, it was a very positive, and quite funny play, much enjoyed by us all.
