After 3 very long years without a bike, I now have a garage in which to store it! While both rental houses had a garage, they were single car garages, which means shuffling when changing vehicles. No thanks. And both were close to the street, so the idea of leaving a bike out the front did not appeal.
It's a Suzuki (my first!) GSX650F. Not the fastest, best handling 600 on the block, but it is a very comfortable bike to ride, with plenty of grunt, but civilised manners for around city riding.
And at the end of its first day, the odometer has 95 km on it! More will be added real soon now! The first service is due at 1000km, and the weather is expected to be pleasant for the next little while too!
Addendum: The bike was written off in late 2012 when a car driver made an illegal U-turn on Bexley Road at Clempton Park. I survived with just a few bruises and soreness due to wearing ATGATT - All The Gear All The Time. That's boots, leathers, gloves and a helmet.
